A Trip in the Pandemic!

Hey Guys, welcome back to my blog! In today's post, I'll share with you a journey which I went on recently. I know, it's pandemic and I 'might' have been pretty daring to go out of town. But I went for a single day, with mask on at most times. So keeping COVID aside for a moment, I want to share with you my experience of the trip. It's almost like diary writing, except it's on my blog xD Let's begin!

Part 1: Beginning the Day

The story begins on the day of journey. I was to attend a ceremony in a nearby city, at a distance of about seventy kilometres from my place. It was not any holiday, so I had to compromise my online classes for the sake of my journey! I wore a peach top, (which I was wearing for the first time) and a pair of blue comfy jeans.

I left with my mum at 10 in the morning and took my favourite book and earphones with me. I also kept my favourite moisturiser "in case" my skin dries up from the AC air. (got the pun?!)

Part 2: The Way to Destination

I was travelling by car, so I was free from noisy horns, pollution and unwanted jerks like that in the bus/train. I was tranquil...

As my journey began, I spent the first hour observing the roads, something which I hadn't done from the past six months! Then I realised that I could complement my journey with some music🎧 So I put on the music playlist on my phone, opened the book which I had brought (The Secret, more precisely) and felt like heaven✨✨

Part 3: The Place of Function

I was so immersed in reading that I didn't realise when I reached the destination! It was some ceremony, and my mom was specially invited for it. I went there uninvited.

There, I had fun making new friends, which were FAR older than me (those lovely girls were graduates, and I-a middle school girl!). I was very shy for some time, but then felt the need socialise. Reason? I saw that they were very cheerful all the time and I wanted to cheer up too. Also, both of them wore dresses of the same peach colour🍑 as I did!

The next few hours slipped quickly as I played a six-player-ludo-match with them and other new friends. No one won, and when one won, the game ended (the rule was to enjoy the game WITHOUT finishing it HAHA).

Part 4: Eating and Goodbye

Later, mum called me to have some food. There were yummy foods all over the place, be it fried rice, paneer, pizzas, manchurian, laddus and rosogollas. I immediately digged in😋🍲

And when we were done eating, it was time to go back home. My mom exchanged greetings with the organisers, and I said goodbye to my newly-made friends; then we left for home.

I was so tired in the car during my journey back home that I slept midway! I woke up only kilometres apart from my home😴

Conclusion

Although I was a bit tired after my trip, I still made great memories that day. I also learnt how to be outgoing and more confident.
I was literally too nervous before I spoke a word to my new friends! But then I got mixed with them well. I also clicked some pictures📷 with them, so that I may not forget their faces (and labelled their names too LOL).

This was all about my journey. I enjoyed the day, and felt refreshed after having seen tons of faces! I felt it was a good decision that I agreed to go, as I got some change from the same daily routine...Well, have you been on a trip or picnic recently? How did it go? And what's your usual routine when you're on the way to the destination? Tell me in the comments!

And did you know that my blog had its first birthday recently?  On 5th August 2021! So it's been a year since my first-ever post was put up on my blog🎉🎉 And here's a list of my all-time popular posts:

I haven't gone out of station since the pandemic started, but I did go trekking near the outskirts. There weren't many people as it was just the wilderness 😂
Looks like you had a great time! 💜

  2. I hope you had a Happy Blogiversary!
Also, I hope you're staying safe, the trip looks like it was fun . 😁
Sadly, a lot of things where I am are going back in person, so it's harder to social distance (my theatre isn't even social distancing which is unfortunate), so when I've gone out it's mostly just been outside or inside, but very briefly.
